Padel accessory compatible with any racket.

The safety strap is a fundamental element in a padel racket. So much so that the rules require all rackets to include it and for it to be used during the game. Its function is, obviously, to prevent accidents in case the racket slips from our hand and hits another player.

Replacing the strap: a complex and risky operation

The safety strap in padel rackets is attached to the structure of the racket itself in the internal space of the handle. Replacing it is a complicated operation that involves manipulating the racket and losing the purchase warranty. To replace it, it is necessary to remove the grip that comes with the racket from the factory until the bottom cap is visible, which also needs to be removed and is attached to the racket's handle with a system of staples. Removing these staples is a delicate operation with the risk of breaking the blade. Once the strap is replaced, it is also complicated to put the bottom plug back in, as after removing the staples, the plug may not be securely fastened and could move during the game.

Why might we be interested in replacing the safety strap?

FOR SAFETY

During the game, the safety strap gets soaked with the player's sweat. Over time, sweat degrades the fibers to the point where they can break. Another reason for possible breakage is that the internal knot connecting the strap to the blade's structure comes undone. In any case, if our racket's strap is broken, we must necessarily replace it, as the rules do not allow playing without a system to attach the racket to the wrist.

FOR HYGIENE

As we pointed out earlier, the racket strap constantly absorbs the player's sweat, which over time generates bad odors. In the case of padel rackets shared by more than one person (e.g., test rackets, rental rackets, etc.), the health risk component must be taken into account. For shared rackets, the racket's overgrip should always be replaced after each use and the strap disinfected.

FOR CUSTOMIZATION

Every player has their own preferences. There are those who prefer the traditional rope, there are those who prefer the wristband type, some prefer more length, others tighter... Until now, players had to settle for the factory-provided system, regardless of their preferences.

In addition to being able to choose the attachment system, aesthetic customization can also be a reason for change. For example, a wristband with our name, the flag of our country, or a phrase that motivates us in our matches.
